The band "Mature Innocense" thinks that some things are wrong. Things like wars in Africa, environmental destruction and apathy. And they actually want to change these things.
(Jon) Murray explained that lasting change starts with individuals and that self-absorption leads to an apathy that allows problems like war and environmental destruction to exist. Sure, it's idealistic, but then so is U2.
...They sounded good, with Jon Murray displaying a rich resonating voice complimented by his brothers, Craig on bass and Eric on drums, and Brian Crane on lead guitar, to create an urgent and edgy sound.

This years edition of Sunbash Saturday, now a River City Days tradition, promises to be the biggest musical event to hit CSUS since the time the B-52s almost played Hornet Stadium. Saturdays free show, beginning at noon, will be co-headlined by Southern California hardcore veterans Agent Orange and Bay Area roots-rockers The Dynatones. Sacramentos own Mature Innocense will open the show, which will be held on the University Unions South Lawn.
"This lineup is the strongest weve had in years," said Kevin Rowley, program advisor for UNIQUE Programs, which is sponsoring the event.
-- Mature Innocense --
Many bands compare themselves to U2. Few live up to it. Mature Innocense is one of the few.
They do political, they do spiritual, they do Christian. Some go so far as to say that they do U2 better than U2 does now (which really isnt saying all that much, but thats beside the point.)
One things for sure, Mature Innocense draws very well in clubs throughout the city, and is one of the leading contenders among Sacramento bands in the race to get signed by a major label. Considering the competition thats saying something.
